Mr Vegas, under the ownership of the notable gaming operator Videoslots, has expanded its sponsorship portfolio by securing the title sponsorship of the Snooker 900, a prominent event within the World Senior Snooker (WSS) circuit.
The event, scheduled for December 29th at Epsom Racecourse, is poised to increase Mr Vegas’ brand presence in the UK. This move follows closely on the heels of recent partnerships with the English Football League’s West Bromwich Albion and the Professional Darts Corporation, where Mr Vegas has been named the primary sponsor for two key tournaments over the forthcoming year.
The Snooker 900 event, featuring legendary players such as Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White, will be adopting a dynamic round-robin format leading to knockout rounds. This event is set to gain substantial exposure, with exclusive live broadcasting planned in the UK on Channel 5 during the holiday season.
This sponsorship deal marks a significant stride for Mr Vegas in establishing itself as a rising name in the UK’s online casino market and enhances its visibility across the sports sector.
Ulle Skottling, Deputy CEO at Mr Vegas, said: “Following on from recent deals within football and darts, we are excited to extend Mr Vegas’ outreach into snooker during one of the busiest times of the year.
“The UK is a key territory for us and announcing this trio of sponsorships over the past two months will undoubtedly boost Mr Vegas’ reputation within the sporting world.”
Jason Francis, Chairman of World Seniors Snooker, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Mr Vegas to bring the first-ever snooker tournament to Channel 5.
“The line-up includes some of the sport’s most decorated and loved players and we look forward to them doing battle on the table and entertaining our guests off it.”
