Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has upgraded its mobile igaming platform through a continued partnership with Bede Gaming, introducing a new React Native-based application for players in Ontario.
The igaming update delivers a redesigned mobile experience for OLG.ca users, with the new application built to support omnichannel functionality and improved performance across devices. The platform is structured to operate through a single build across multiple device types, enabling operational efficiencies and streamlined updates.
OLG reported that the application supports more than one million monthly users, with the updated framework designed to maintain performance during periods of peak activity. The system is also intended to support faster deployment of new features and enhancements as part of ongoing product development.
The integration connects directly with Bede Gaming’s broader platform capabilities, including in-house product tools and third-party integrations, reducing the need for additional development layers and enabling quicker responses to changes in player behaviour within the igaming environment.
As part of the rollout, the application incorporates geolocation functionality provided by mkodo through its GeoLocs product, supporting compliance with Ontario’s regulatory requirements for online igaming.
The launch follows a phased transition process, with OLG indicating that the migration to the new igaming app was completed without disruption to customer activity, reflecting ongoing investment by operators in mobile platforms within regulated markets.
