Paul Liu Joins Wynn Resorts Board of Directors

Wynn Resorts, Limited recently shared the news of Paul Liu’s appointment to its Board of Directors. He has joined as an Independent Director and a Class I member, effective from August 3, 2023.

Mr. Liu’s expertise spans across several industries such as entertainment, hospitality, and financial services, primarily in China and the Asia Pacific region. His understanding of business dynamics in the Asia Pacific market is expected to be beneficial for the board’s deliberations.

He is fluent in Chinese and previously worked at Egon Zehnder AG, a leadership consultancy firm in Shanghai. In his role there, he led the Services Practice in the Asia Pacific region with a specific focus on hotels and hospitality. His clients included both multinational and Chinese companies.

Mr. Liu has also worked as the COO at Anschutz Entertainment Group China and was involved in the founding of the luxury lifestyle destination, Three On The Bund in Shanghai, where he served as CFO.

Before his roles in hospitality and entertainment, Mr. Liu worked for 14 years in finance at institutions such as JPMorgan, UBS, Peregrine, and Bank of America, in New York and Hong Kong. He completed his education at the University of Michigan and the John’s Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

Mr. Liu is a member of the National Committee on U.S. – China Relations. Since 2005, he has been associated with the National Committee, helping to organize the Barnett-Oksenberg Lecture on Sino-American Relations in Shanghai.
