PENN Entertainment Appoints Aaron LaBerge as Chief Technology Officer

PENN Entertainment, Inc. announced the appointment of Aaron LaBerge as Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) effective July 1, 2024, pending customary regulatory approvals. Reporting directly to PENN CEO & President Jay Snowden, LaBerge will spearhead the technology strategy and execution for PENN while leading the multinational team of technologists, serving as the key business leader for the company’s Interactive division.

With over 20 years of experience, LaBerge brings a wealth of expertise from his tenure at The Walt Disney Company and his role as a technology entrepreneur. He served as President & Chief Technology Officer for Disney Entertainment and ESPN, overseeing technology and product development for The Walt Disney Company’s media divisions. LaBerge played a pivotal role in shaping Disney’s technology vision, driving innovation, and enhancing consumer experiences with entertainment and sports content.

Previously, LaBerge served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at ESPN, where he contributed significantly to the growth of ESPN’s digital media products and services. He led the development of ESPN’s digital platforms and infrastructure, establishing ESPN’s position as a leader in digital sports and innovative sports technology.

Before his tenure at Disney, LaBerge co-founded and served as CEO of Fanzter, Inc., a venture-funded consumer software and digital product development company. There, he directed day-to-day operations and led the development and launch of various consumer-focused internet and mobile products.

LaBerge’s appointment underscores PENN Entertainment’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation. His extensive experience and leadership will drive PENN’s technology initiatives, supporting the company’s growth and enhancing its position in the igaming industry.
