Playson, a distinguished digital entertainment supplier, has successfully obtained a B2B gambling license in Peru, reinforcing its commitment to expanding into new markets globally.
The company has diligently worked to meet the regulatory requirements set forth by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) following Peru’s recent regulation changes. These new laws, enacted in February, position Peru as the fourth Latin American market to regulate online casinos.
Throughout the licensing process, Playson’s General Counsel Felicia Andronic, Head of Compliance Martyna Scieszka, and Chief Commercial Officer Tamas Kusztos collaborated closely to ensure compliance with the stringent regulations.
With this new license, Playson aims to make a significant impact in the Peruvian market, offering operators the opportunity to enhance their digital casinos with its diverse portfolio of games. Before launching its content, Playson will focus on obtaining the necessary game certifications and undergoing technical audits to ensure smooth progress in this emerging market.
This latest achievement adds to Playson’s portfolio of six other global licenses, including those from the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), the Romanian National Gambling Office (ONJN), the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) in Greece, and the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) in Singapore. This milestone underscores the company’s proficiency in navigating complex regulatory environments and its dedication to delivering high-quality content worldwide.
Tamas Kusztos, CCO at Playson, said: “As we seek to bring more engaging experiences to players in new markets, obtaining a licence in Peru is a significant strategic move. The market stands out as one of the most promising in the LatAm region and we look forward to establishing a prominent position in the country.”
