Playtech’s iPoker Network Hosts Record-Breaking Elite Series Winter Edition

Playtech has announced the successful completion of the Elite Series Winter Edition on its renowned iPoker network. This tournament series stands as the largest event in the history of the iPoker network, surpassing the achievements of the previous Winter Series.

Running from December 1, 2023, to January 16, 2024, the Elite Series Winter Edition exceeded its €7,000,000 guarantee, amassing close to €10,000,000 in total prize pools. This impressive event hosted over 800 tournaments in various formats, including daily tournaments with buy-ins ranging from €3 to €1,000. It featured 93 events, each with a guarantee of €20,000 or more, and introduced the new Mystery Bounty format alongside regular tournament setups.

The series’ seven multi-stage Mystery Bounty events were particularly notable, contributing €650,000 to the overall series guarantees. These events recorded the largest single entry count in iPoker history and awarded the highest Mystery Bounty ever on the iPoker network.

Following this achievement, the iPoker network has launched online qualifiers for the Irish Open 2024, one of Europe’s longest-running and most prestigious live poker events. Starting January 8, 2024, these qualifiers will run until March, offering players over 100 guaranteed entries into the €1,000,000 GTD Irish Open Main Event.

Building on the success of the Elite Series Winter Edition, the iPoker Network is set to host the €5,500,000 GTD Bounty Hunter Series XL from March 1 to April 1, 2024. This event is anticipated to be the largest Knockout Series the iPoker Network has ever hosted, reinforcing its status as a top destination for online poker. The Bounty Hunter Series XL exemplifies iPoker’s commitment to providing premier poker experiences and solidifies its position as a key player in the igaming industry.
