PokerStars Announces First European Poker Tour Events for 2025 with Stops in Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona

PokerStars has announced the initial stops for the 2025 European Poker Tour (EPT), returning to three popular destinations: Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona. The tour will kick off with EPT Paris in February, followed by EPT Monte-Carlo in April, and EPT Barcelona in August. The schedule promises another year of high-stakes poker, competitive fields, and unique experiences for players and spectators.

The 2025 tour begins with EPT Paris from February 12 to 23 at Le Palais des Congrès. Returning for its third consecutive year, EPT Paris continues to attract larger fields, with the 2024 event setting records in attendance. The France Poker Series (FPS) Main Event in 2024 saw 4,149 entries from 1,930 players, the largest turnout in the event’s history. The EPT Main Event itself also drew 1,224 participants from 69 countries, establishing it as the sixth-largest field in EPT history. PokerStars has arranged a diverse schedule for the 2025 event, accommodating a range of player levels, with over 135 tournament tables planned at the venue. Off the tables, players will have access to exclusive activities that highlight both the event’s atmosphere and the cultural backdrop of Paris.

For players interested in competing, PokerStars will host online satellites for EPT Paris beginning November 17, giving participants the chance to win an €8,000 package that includes a €5,300 Main Event buy-in, accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile for the player and a guest, and an expenses allowance. Additional FPS Paris Main Event packages, valued at €3,300, offer a €1,100 buy-in and similar accommodations. Various “Power Path” passes are also available, including options such as the Gold Pass, Silver Pass, and Bronze Pass, each offering different entry combinations and access to exclusive event perks.

The second stop on the EPT 2025 calendar is EPT Monte-Carlo, set for April 30 to May 10 at the Monte-Carlo Casino®. Known for its glamour and unique venue featuring a retractable roof that reveals the Mediterranean sky, EPT Monte-Carlo remains one of the most distinguished stops on the tour. The event promises not only high-stakes tournaments but also special experiences that capture the elegance of the Côte d’Azur for both players and guests.

The EPT will conclude its 2025 season in Barcelona, where PokerStars returns to Casino Barcelona from August 18 to 31. EPT Barcelona remains a favorite stop, drawing large fields and offering memorable poker experiences. In 2024, the EPT Barcelona Main Event featured a €5,300 buy-in and attracted 1,975 entries from 1,469 players, making it one of the largest fields in the tour’s history. The prize pool reached €9,578,750, with participants from 82 countries competing for a share.

Additional information on satellite events for EPT Barcelona and other upcoming stops will be available in the coming months as PokerStars finalizes the 2025 tour schedule. The return of these iconic EPT locations underscores PokerStars’ commitment to delivering premier poker experiences across Europe.

“We’re excited to announce the first part of the calendar with the return of EPT Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona for 2025”, said Live Events Senior Business Development Manager, Julien Liarte. “These iconic stops have become cornerstones of the European Poker Tour, each offering unique experiences and unparalleled competition.
