PokerStars Launches New Live Poker Series: The PokerStars Open

PokerStars has unveiled a new live poker series for 2025, the PokerStars Open, which will bring together various national tour events from across Europe under one unified banner. The series combines elements from the former UKIPT, EUREKA, ESTRELLAS, and FPS events with PokerStars’ renowned event organisation, creating a series of exciting festivals in vibrant European destinations.

The PokerStars Open will feature six standalone stops, including three new locations, and will be headlined by a €1,100/£1,100 Open Main Event with a €1 million guaranteed prize pool at each stop. Players can look forward to big guarantees, accessible buy-ins, packed schedules, and engaging off-table activities.

Each event will reflect the high standards of PokerStars’ live experiences, with industry-leading dealers, seamless registration processes, and dedicated player activities. The events will also be supported by the PokerStars Live app, offering players easy access to tournament data and updates.

The first stop in the 2025 PokerStars Open series will be held in Campione, Italy, from March 10–16, 2025, at the new Casino Municipale poker room. This luxurious venue, located on the shores of Lake Lugano in the Lombardy region, will offer seven days of action both on and off the felt. Players can also qualify for the event through a series of online satellites, starting December 19.

Additional stops include:

  • Irish Open: April 10–21, 2025, at the Royal Dublin Society, offering 12 days of poker action with large guarantees and a variety of formats.
  • Namur: May 28–June 9, 2025, at Circus Casino Resort, featuring a €1 million guarantee.
  • Malaga: June 16–22, 2025, at Gran Madrid Casino Torrequebrada, promising increased capacity and enhanced off-table entertainment.
  • Manchester: October 20–26, 2025, at Casino Manchester235, a new stop offering a combination of poker, music, and sports heritage.
  • Cannes: December 8–14, 2025, at Casino Barriere Le Croisette, the final stop of the year, promising world-class hospitality and celebration of the series’ best moments.
  • With its diverse array of locations and high-quality experiences, the PokerStars Open series is set to become a staple of the European live poker calendar for 2025 and beyond.

“PokerStars is thrilled to introduce a new series of events to the European poker calendar. Our PokerStars Open events will offer players accessible exceptional experiences, with each venue providing a distinct atmosphere that contributes to a cohesive European series, complementing the European Poker Tour while also standing out on their own,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars.

“We understand that players love to travel for tournaments, so we’ve expanded to the PokerStars Open format. This allows us greater flexibility to host million-guaranteed events across Europe, beyond just our traditional national tour locations.”
