PressEnter Group Appoints Hampus Eriksson as Deputy CEO

PressEnter Group, known for operating renowned online gambling brands like XLBet, Nitro Casino, Ultra Casino, 21.com, and JustSpin, has announced the appointment of Hampus Eriksson as its Deputy CEO. This internal promotion is a strategic move, considering Eriksson’s pivotal role as Chief Product Officer at PressEnter Group for the past two years.

Eriksson’s tenure as Chief Product Officer has been marked by significant accomplishments, including the complete overhaul of the company’s product capabilities and processes. He played a crucial role in launching PressEnter’s first sports betting brand, XLBet, and spearheading the company’s expansion into regulated markets such as Ontario and Romania. His efforts also encompassed substantial investments in technical enablers and completing a full cloud migration, vital for driving business growth.

The appointment comes after PressEnter Group underwent a management buyout in November 2022, a pivotal moment that led to a strategic shift and the establishment of a robust foundation for long-term success.

In his expanded role as Deputy CEO, Eriksson will oversee a broader range of operations, focusing on the implementation of strategies and goals essential for the company’s trajectory in 2024 and beyond. His comprehensive understanding of the business and proven leadership capabilities position him ideally to steer the company through its next phase of growth and innovation in the iGaming industry.

Lahcene Merzoug, Chief Executive Officer of PressEnter Group, said: “Hampus has achieved great things since joining PressEnter Group and this promotion is a reward for his hard work. This will also help to free up my time so that I can focus more on strategy and long-term projects.

“I have worked with Hampus for more than ten years. He is a highly experienced executive and product specialist and knows exactly how to run a business that is as effective as it is efficient. Through his bold leadership and natural talent, I am confident that we will continue to progress at pace over the months ahead.”

Hampus Eriksson, Deputy CEO of PressEnter Group, added: “Following the management buyout, the company is in a much stronger position with the foundations in place to deploy smart, effective strategies for growth.

“We are combining this with an incredibly talented team, and a skilled, ambitious C-Suite to ensure that we not only meet but exceed our goals. I am thrilled to have been promoted to the role of Deputy CEO and look forward to working alongside Lahcene to lead this organisation to the greatness I know it can achieve.”
