Stake Enters Buenos Aires Province Market

Stake has launched its online sportsbook and casino platform in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province, extending its presence in the Latin American iGaming market.

The operator will offer its services through the stake.bet.ar domain under a licence issued by the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC). Buenos Aires Province is Argentina’s largest province by population, with more than 17 million residents.

The launch gives players in the province access to Stake’s sportsbook and online casino products through its local platform. The operator said its offering includes a mobile-focused platform and a range of gaming content tailored to the market.

Argentina represents the latest addition to Stake’s Latin American operations, following launches and expansion activity in Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. The Buenos Aires Province market is one of the most established regulated iGaming jurisdictions in Argentina and continues to attract both domestic and international operators.

Stake’s entry into the province also follows its ambassador agreement with former Argentine footballer Sergio Agüero.

Founded in 2017, Stake operates online sportsbook and casino brands across multiple regulated and licensed markets worldwide. The company said its platforms attract more than 100 million monthly visits across its global domains.

Diana Otalora, LatAm General Manager at Stake, said: “Argentina is an important market for us and a natural next step in our expansion across Latin America. There is an incredibly passionate sporting culture, a large and digitally engaged population and strong long-term potential for Stake.

“We’ve continued to build momentum across Latin America in recent years, and this launch reflects our ambition to establish Stake as the leading entertainment brand in the region. Argentina is a market with energy and identity and we’re excited to bring our world-class sportsbook and casino experience to players through stake.bet.ar.”
