Thunderkick Obtains Swedish Supplier License Under New Regulations

Independent slots studio Thunderkick has been granted a B2B permit in Sweden, following the introduction of new regulations by the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA).

Under the new regulations, set to come into force on July 1st, 2023, companies must hold a gaming software permit to distribute content within the country. This significant milestone allows the Stockholm-based studio to continue offering its games in one of its core and top-performing markets.

With popular titles like Dionysus Golden Feast and innovative releases such as The Wildos, Thunderkick’s market consolidation aligns with its mission to provide its portfolio in key regions within the iGaming and casino industry.

Wan Kim, Head of Compliance at Thunderkick said, “We’re really pleased to have been selected for a B2B permit. We look forward to working with the SGA and are thankful to them for a swift and simple process.

“It’s crucial for us to remain compliant in every market but especially our home one, and we’re excited that we can continue showcasing our games to our fellow Swedes.”
