Betano Owner Kaizen Gaming Expands Volunteer Work

Kaizen Gaming has reported the completion of a new cycle of community and environmental initiatives through its employee volunteering programme, The Collective, with activities carried out across multiple international markets where the company operates.

The company, owner of the Betano brand, stated that 237 employees participated in projects across 10 locations in nine markets, contributing a combined 962 volunteering hours. The initiatives were delivered in partnership with non-governmental organisations and focused on environmental sustainability, biodiversity protection, animal welfare and employability support.

Kaizen Gaming also confirmed donations totalling €80,000 to participating NGOs, with the projects collectively benefiting more than 24,000 people and 350 animals. According to the company, the programme recorded a Net Promoter Score of 94% among participating employees.

Projects supported through The Collective included forest maintenance and reforestation activity in Thessaloniki, Greece, where volunteers worked with MAMAGEA at the Neapolis Food Forest to maintain more than 700 trees and plants and create seed bombs for ecosystem restoration. In Athens, employees partnered with the Philodassiki Society to restore sections of forest road on Mount Hymettus and also worked with the ANIMA wildlife rehabilitation centre on enclosure maintenance and animal care activities.

Elsewhere, Kaizen Gaming employees contributed to animal welfare projects in Romania and Argentina, recycling and environmental awareness initiatives in Brazil, biodiversity restoration work in Colombia and habitat maintenance efforts in Malta alongside BirdLife Malta. Additional activities included post-storm recovery support in Portugal, environmental maintenance work in Bulgaria’s Vitosha Nature Park and mentoring sessions in Germany through ReDI School.

Kaizen Gaming operates sports betting and iGaming brands across regulated markets in Europe and Latin America. The company stated that The Collective forms part of its broader corporate responsibility activity across the jurisdictions in which it maintains operations.

Financial terms relating to the volunteering programme beyond the disclosed NGO donations were not provided.

Ioanna Kozadinou, Corporate Responsibility Senior Manager at Kaizen Gaming, said: “The scale and impact of the work done by The Collective continues to grow and achieve real and lasting impact with the projects we have supported. It has been inspiring to see the results Kaizeners have achieved by bringing colleagues across multiple markets together as part of The Collective to support environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and community initiatives. From habitat restoration and wildlife care to recycling and community recovery efforts, these activities demonstrate how targeted, hands-on volunteering can deliver tangible benefits for local ecosystems and communities, while strengthening engagement and shared purpose across our organisation.”
