BetMGM and Score Gaming Introduce Double-Up Blackjack in New Jersey
BetMGM, an established operator in the iGaming and sports betting sector, has formed a partnership with Score Gaming, a company specialized in developing table games and side bets. This collaboration has led to the launch of Double-Up Blackjack, now accessible online exclusively at BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey.
Double-Up Blackjack offers an innovative twist to the classic game, allowing players the opportunity to double their wager on any 2-card hand, except for a natural blackjack. The “double-up” option lets players place an additional bet, up to the amount of their original wager. A unique aspect of this game is the End 16 Rule, a feature of Score Gaming, which guarantees that players cannot lose when the dealer’s hand totals 16.
Additionally, the game introduces the 16 Bonus side bet. This optional bet rewards players when the dealer’s hand equals 16, with payouts based on the number of cards required to reach this total, offering potential wins up to 500 times the bet.
First introduced in land-based casinos in 2012, Double-Up Blackjack quickly gained popularity globally. Currently, over a third of casinos feature multiple Double-Up game tables. This marks the first online implementation of Score Gaming’s End 16 game suite.
BetMGM’s online casino platform boasts a collection of over 1,500 games, including a vast exclusive state-by-state jackpot network. In the first half of 2023, the platform awarded nearly $75 million in jackpots and is on track to surpass the $100 million mark achieved in 2022.
In line with its expansion into new regions, BetMGM emphasizes responsible gaming.
