Betsson has been granted a local gaming license in Brazil, allowing the operator to offer online casino and sports betting services in the newly regulated market. The license, which became effective on February 25, 2025, reinforces Betsson’s position in Latin America and expands its presence in one of the world’s largest igaming markets.
With over a decade of experience in the region, Betsson already operates under licenses in several key markets, including Argentina, Colombia, and Peru. The approval in Brazil aligns with the company’s broader strategy of regulatory compliance and sustainable market expansion as the country continues to formalize its igaming framework.
By securing a local license, Betsson gains direct access to Brazil’s regulated betting ecosystem, positioning itself for long-term growth in a market projected to become one of the most significant in the global igaming industry.
