Brightstar Lottery PLC has signed a two-year contract extension with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees the operations of the Texas Lottery. The agreement will see Brightstar continue to supply lottery technology and related services in the state through August 31, 2028.
The extension builds on Brightstar’s long-term relationship with the Texas Lottery and forms part of the company’s broader presence across the global lottery and iGaming sectors. Brightstar currently provides technology and operational support to nearly 90 lottery organisations worldwide, including 26 of the 46 U.S. lottery jurisdictions and eight of the world’s 10 largest lotteries.
The agreement reinforces Brightstar’s position as a key technology supplier within the North American lottery ecosystem, as U.S. jurisdictions continue to modernise digital and retail lottery infrastructure to support future growth and innovation.
Brightstar has a successful history of supporting the Texas Lottery, and we are pleased that our contract was extended,” said Scott Gunn, Brightstar Chief Operating Officer North America Lottery. “We look forward to continuing to work productively with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.”
