Casino Guru has launched a new initiative in partnership with the Digital Wellness Center (DWC), a specialist organisation focused on preventative solutions to problem gambling.
The collaboration will see the Casino Guru community trial Droodles, a tool developed by DWC that offers cognitive microbreaks designed to support mental wellbeing during online gambling sessions.
This initiative forms part of Casino Guru’s ongoing efforts to explore innovative approaches to promoting safer gambling behaviours and improving user experiences.
The trial aims to evaluate the impact of Droodles on player wellbeing and decision-making, particularly during prolonged play sessions.
Droodles are short, interactive visual tasks based on neuroaesthetic and behavioural science principles.
They are designed to serve as cognitive resets, requiring minimal effort while stimulating light mental activity.
These microbreaks are intended to help users step back from intense engagement, reducing cognitive fatigue and emotional intensity that can lead to impulsive gambling behaviours.
Scientific studies support the role of microbreaks in improving focus, creativity, and memory retention, while also aiding in emotional regulation.
Within the gambling context, they may contribute to more rational decision-making and improved self-control by helping to manage dopamine levels associated with risk-taking and reward.
The initiative also marks a shift in how responsible gambling tools are presented to players.
