DBET has appointed Swedish sports broadcaster Jonas Dahlquist as Content Producer and launched a new football podcast focused on the domestic Allsvenskan league, expanding the operator’s sports media activity within its broader igaming and sportsbook platform.
Dahlquist joins DBET with responsibility for developing original programming, social media content and digital formats aimed at Swedish sports audiences. His appointment forms part of the brand’s content strategy as it continues to build its presence in Sweden’s igaming and sports betting market.
Dahlquist began his broadcasting career in 2002 and has worked across Swedish and international sports coverage, including domestic football competitions and major international tournaments. His career has included commentary and presenting roles linked to the Allsvenskan as well as global sporting events and international football leagues.
Following his appointment, DBET has launched a weekly football podcast titled All in Allsvenskan. The programme is hosted by Dahlquist alongside former Sweden internationals Anders Svensson and Nils-Eric Johansson. Svensson holds the record for the most appearances for the Swedish men’s national team with 148 caps and played club football for IF Elfsborg and Southampton, while Johansson captained AIK and made more than 370 appearances for the club, in addition to spells in English football with Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City.
The podcast focuses on the discussion of weekly Allsvenskan fixtures, including match analysis and developments across the Swedish top flight. Episodes also feature guest contributions from figures connected to Swedish football. New episodes are scheduled for release each Wednesday at 15:00 CET across several digital platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Podplay.
DBET launched its platform in August 2024 and operates both online services and a network of retail betting terminals. The company reports that its retail estate currently includes more than 530 terminals, alongside its online sportsbook and igaming offering. The addition of editorial and audio content reflects a broader trend among igaming operators integrating sports media formats into their digital platforms as part of audience engagement strategies in competitive sportsbook and igaming markets.
Svensson said: “It was fantastic playing in Allsvenskan for so many years, winning the title twice. The league stays with you even after you stop playing, and I’m really happy to do this with Jonas. I know it will be a lot of fun and full of everything that happens around the game.”
Dahlquist said: “It seems that people just can’t get enough of Allsvenskan, and the audiences and general interest have exploded in recent years. We really want to give our opinion on the league Sweden cares most about, and hopefully, the viewers and listeners feel the same.”
