Delaware North Partners with Playtech for Betly Platform Migration

Delaware North, a global hospitality and entertainment company with a portfolio that includes regional casinos and interactive gaming operations, has selected Playtech as its new platform provider for the Betly mobile sportsbook and casino. Playtech’s platform will initially power the recently launched Betly Ohio sportsbook, replacing the MVGBet platform in an affiliate license partnership with Miami Valley Gaming, a Delaware North joint venture located between Cincinnati and Dayton.

The migration to Playtech’s platform will extend to Betly sportsbooks in Arkansas, Tennessee, and West Virginia in the coming months. In West Virginia, Betly also offers an online casino alongside its sportsbook, further leveraging Playtech’s comprehensive suite of gaming and sports betting solutions.

Betly underscores its commitment to responsible gaming by offering players tools to set deposit, loss, session time, and spending limits, as well as access to informational resources on problem gambling, with the transition to Playtech, Delaware North gains access to Playtech’s responsible gaming suite, including the BetBuddy solution. BetBuddy provides advanced analytics to identify at-risk behaviours and supports early intervention with personalized messaging to help protect players.

Delaware North has also partnered with Birches Health, a national behavioural addiction program specializing in online treatment for gambling and sports betting-related concerns. This collaboration integrates customized behavioural health assessments directly into the Betly app, enabling players to evaluate their gaming habits and access certified mental health counsellors. Additionally, Birches Health will provide Delaware North staff with clinician-led responsible gaming training and curated content to reinforce its focus on player safety.

This partnership represents a significant step forward for Delaware North’s Betly brand, combining Playtech’s technological expertise with a robust commitment to responsible gaming, ensuring a safer and more comprehensive experience for players.

“We are very pleased to partner with Playtech to provide Betly customers with an enhanced mobile sports betting and online casino experience powered by an industry leader,” said Lee Terfloth, chief interactive gaming officer for Delaware North.

“Not only that, but our team can now offer players robust promotional features through the Playtech platform, which will allow Betly to offer customers an array of enticing and personalized offerings, including bonus bets, boosts, drawings and tournaments. As a result, customers will experience tailored content to engage them based on their historical betting activity,” Terfloth said.
