DraftKings Appoints Lori Kalani as Chief Responsible Gaming Officer

DraftKings (Nasdaq: DKNG) has named Lori Kalani as its Chief Responsible Gaming Officer, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to player safety and protection. Reporting directly to DraftKings’ CEO, Jason Robins, Kalani will oversee the enhancement and integration of responsible gaming practices across all aspects of DraftKings’ platforms and player communities.

DraftKings’ responsible gaming approach encompasses various strategies, including technology implementation, employee training, research-based initiatives, collaboration with external organizations, and player education programs. These efforts aim to promote responsible play and provide players with the necessary tools for managing their gaming activity responsibly.

With her background in consumer protection law and extensive experience in building relationships with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders, Kalani is well-equipped to collaborate with DraftKings’ Compliance team to further strengthen the company’s consumer safety and protection practices.

Previously serving as a partner at the Cozen O’Connor law firm, where she Co-Chaired the State Attorneys General practice, Kalani brings a wealth of expertise across multiple industries, including gaming, social media, telecommunications, hospitality, and healthcare. Her profound understanding of regulatory landscapes and her track record in navigating complex legal challenges make her an ideal candidate to lead DraftKings’ responsible gaming initiatives.
