Entain is Runner-Up in Management Today’s ‘Britain’s Most Admired Companies’

Entain has made its debut in Management Today’s ranking of ‘Britain’s Most Admired Companies’ as the runner up for 2021. This accolade follows a phenomenal year for the Group which, led by CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen, is pursuing an ambitious strategy centred around growth and sustainability.

Entain, whose global brands include Ladbrokes, Eurobet, bwin and, in the U.S., BetMGM, was commended for its efforts to tackle problem gambling, alongside wider Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. The Group has also been credited for its impressive earnings growth, joint venture with BetMGM in the United States (US), and investment in esports, gaming and technology.

“This recognition is a true testament to the entire team at Entain. We’ve been through a remarkable period of transformation since 2020 – we have made our mark as a global brand and experienced huge growth, all whilst putting sustainability and ESG at the heart of everything we do, commented Rob Wood, CFO and Deputy CEO of Entain.

At heart, we are a technology business – and it is our industry-leading proprietary technology that allows us to innovate, offer customers new and better experiences, and grow into new areas, like esports. We really are a company that is shaping the future.”

Management Today’s ‘Britain’s Most Admired Companies’ is a peer-review study, carried out by reputation specialist Echo Research and involving interviews with 329 board representatives, analysts and City commentators. Some of Britain’s largest companies, across 27 sectors, were among those asked to evaluate their peers, rated according to 13 different criteria.
