IGT Extends Partnership with Virginia Lottery with Enhanced Solutions

International Game Technology PLC (“IGT”) has announced a significant extension of its contract with the Virginia Lottery, through its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation. The three-year extension, augmenting the contract’s total duration to October 2033, also includes options for three additional one-year extensions. As part of this extended agreement, IGT will provide the Virginia Lottery with a series of upgrades, including a revamped lottery central system, a new communications network, state-of-the-art point-of-sale hardware, and innovative gameplay features, targeted to be operational by October 2025.

In line with the contract’s terms, IGT will enhance the Virginia Lottery’s central retail system with the latest version of its Aurora™ system, a component of the OMNIA™ lottery solution. Additionally, IGT will replace approximately 5,500 retail terminals with its advanced Retailer Pro S2 terminals, which are designed for high performance and volume. This upgrade will enable the Virginia Lottery to simultaneously implement new features across multiple point-of-sale terminals. IGT’s relationship with the Virginia Lottery is longstanding, serving as its primary lottery technology partner since 2000 and the main supplier of instant tickets since 2020.

As a global leader in the lottery market, IGT serves as the primary technology provider for 25 lotteries across the U.S., including eight of the world’s largest and 16 of the top 25 lotteries.
