IGT Recognized as a Top Workplace for Disability Inclusion in 2023

International Game Technology PLC (“IGT”) has been honored with the distinction of being named a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” in the prestigious 2023 Disability Equality Index® (DEI). This recognition highlights IGT’s commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.

Now in its ninth year, the DEI is a collaborative effort between the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN. The index serves as a benchmarking tool for companies to assess their disability inclusion practices. IGT received an exceptional score across various categories, including Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices, Community Engagement, Supplier Diversity, and Non-U.S. Operations.

IGT is proud to join the ranks of 405 esteemed companies in the United States that have earned this distinction. Since establishing its Office of Diversity & Inclusion in 2018, IGT has made significant strides in promoting diversity and creating a more inclusive workplace for individuals with disabilities. Key initiatives and practices include implementing inclusive hiring processes, offering benefits to accommodate visible and invisible disabilities, providing reasonable accommodations, fostering employee-led diversity groups like SuperAbilities at IGT, and conducting comprehensive diversity training courses.

This recognition reinforces IGT’s ongoing commitment to championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within its organization. By embracing a culture of acceptance and providing equal opportunities for all employees, IGT continues to create an environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive and contribute to the company’s success.

“IGT being named a ‘Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion’ by the Disability Equality Index reflects our commitment to fostering and sustaining an inclusive workplace where all employees feel welcomed and can succeed in their careers,” said Dorothy Costa, IGT Senior Vice President, People & Transformation. “Under the guidance of our Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, we continue to progress our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for our global employees who activate IGT’s core values and position us to be recognized with these significant achievements.”

“Businesses have the power to drive the global advancement of disability inclusion, and we’re thrilled to see more companies than ever leverage the Disability Equality Index to measure their progress. We recognize these top-scoring companies as a ‘Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion’ for their passion and efforts to lead the way in creating greater equity for people with disabilities in the workplace, marketplace, and supply chain,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability:IN.
