Microgaming Aids Responsible Gaming Initiatives

Microgaming has recently made notable contributions to various responsible gambling charities. These collaborations have been nurtured over the last three years, highlighting Microgaming’s commitment to safer igaming practices.

The company has been active in identifying and supporting projects that yield significant benefits for the recipients of these charity services. Financial contributions from Microgaming have been instrumental in extending service offerings, producing educational content, and enhancing the digital presence of these organizations.

Among the charities that have benefited from Microgaming’s support are Ygam, Gordon Moody, Beacon Counselling Trust, Betknowmore UK, and Motiv8 Addiction Services. For instance, Ygam has allocated its funds from Microgaming to expand educational outreach to faith and community leaders. Gordon Moody has utilized its contribution to reinforce a fund aiding families of individuals undergoing gambling addiction treatment.

Betknowmore UK, in its three-year relationship with Microgaming, has revamped its website and digital infrastructure, enriching it with safer gambling resources, developing digital self-help tools, and generating interactive media to bolster its advocacy.

Beacon Counselling Trust is channeling its donation into creating an animated video to support mental health services in vulnerable communities, focusing on their service for individuals bereaved by suicide.

Motiv8 IOM intends to supplement its cost of living fund with its donation, directing aid to those in pressing need.

Microgaming’s commitment to responsible gaming extends to active participation in Safer Gambling Week. The company has planned a range of activities, including mandatory training for its staff, compliance sessions, and expert webinars, featuring specialists like Dr. Mark Griffiths of Nottingham Trent University and representatives from eCOGRA.

Sarah Campbell, Director of Compliance at Microgaming, said: “Safer gaming and responsible gambling is in our DNA. We take huge pride in working with and supporting a range of charities that are doing truly great work in this area.

“Through our support, these organisations are able to reach more at-risk persons than ever before and provide them with the tools, support and treatment they need. We are genuinely pleased with the projects and relationships we’ve formed with our charitable partners over the years.

Together, we can create a safer and more responsible gambling environment for all.”
