PENN Entertainment has extended its retail sportsbook platform agreement with Kambi Group plc, securing continued access to the supplier’s technology until 31 July 2027. The new arrangement supersedes the previous contract, which was due to expire at the end of 2025.
The agreement covers on-property sportsbooks that are active by the end of 2025, with Kambi currently providing retail sportsbook technology to 30 PENN venues across 13 US states. Kambi’s platform includes trading services, betting kiosks, Bring Your Own Device functionality and over-the-counter wagering solutions.
PENN said the extension provides additional flexibility as it continues preparations to transition to its own proprietary technology. Kambi stated that the renewal reflects the company’s ongoing collaboration in the US igaming and sports betting market.
Werner Becher, Kambi CEO, said: “We are pleased to extend our retail agreement with PENN Entertainment, reaffirming Kambi’s position as the trusted sportsbook provider for leading operators. This agreement ensures PENN can continue to benefit from our high-performance technology while maintaining the flexibility to execute its long-term strategic plans. We look forward to continuing to work alongside PENN to deliver exceptional retail sportsbook experiences for its customers across the US.”
