Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries Launch Multi-State eInstant Progressive Jackpot with IWG

Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a renowned supplier of eInstant games to NASPL/WLA-member lotteries, celebrates the Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries for introducing the industry’s first-ever multi-state eInstant progressive jackpot.

Known as Mega Money Jackpots, this exciting initiative will offer multimillion-dollar prizes to eInstant players in both Pennsylvania and Virginia.

The Mega Money Jackpots are funded through a small percentage of sales from designated eInstants in each participating lottery.

As the jackpot manager, IWG facilitates the administration and settlement of prize money across the collaborating lotteries.

Looking ahead, the Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries envision the expansion of the Mega Money Jackpots to include more U.S. lotteries, broadening the scope of progressive prize possibilities.

Powering Mega Money Jackpots is IWG’s innovative InstantJackpots technology. Leveraging IWG’s InstantRGS (remote game server), the entire functionality is seamlessly integrated, eliminating the need for any development support from the lotteries’ respective iLottery platform providers. Moreover, other lotteries can join the initiative independently, regardless of their contracted iLottery platform provider.

This pioneering collaboration between IWG, the Pennsylvania Lottery, and the Virginia Lottery marks a significant milestone in the iGaming industry. By introducing the first multi-state eInstant progressive jackpot, these lotteries are set to captivate players and deliver life-changing prizes. The success of Mega Money Jackpots demonstrates the continued innovation and commitment to enhancing the iGaming experience for lottery players across the United States.

Rhydian Fisher, CEO at IWG, said: “Progressive jackpots have been hugely popular with eInstant players in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. Now with the higher prizing opportunity that comes from pooling play across two successful lotteries, Mega Money Jackpots allows for even higher jackpot awards and greater player excitement. Congratulations to both lotteries for pioneering this next chapter in eInstant games.”

Stephanie Weyant, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing and Products at Pennsylvania Lottery, said: “We’re excited to work alongside the Virginia Lottery and IWG to launch Mega Money Jackpots. The ability to offer higher jackpot prizes will certainly resonate with our players and result in additional proceeds to benefit older Pennsylvanians here in the Commonwealth.”

Scott Kenyon, Strategic Games Manager at Virginia Lottery, said: “As the first U.S. lottery to launch progressive jackpot eInstants, the Virginia Lottery has continued to collaborate with IWG to champion even more online innovations. This multi-state partnership with the Pennsylvania Lottery highlights these efforts, setting an example for other iLottery jurisdictions. We believe Mega Money Jackpots will be enthusiastically received by our players all while supporting the Virginia Lottery’s mission to raise revenue for K-12 public education.”
