Sportingwin Enters Romanian Market with Sepsi FC Agreement

Sportingwin has secured a licence from Romania’s National Gambling Office and launched the domain Sportingwin.ro. The igaming platform is set to debut in the Romanian market in Q1 2024, where it will join other platforms like Superbet, Unibet, Entain, and Flutter.

Coinciding with this launch, Sportingwin has also confirmed a sponsorship with Romanian Cup champions, Sepsi FC, as part of its wider marketing approach in the country.

Previously, Sportingwin expanded into Bulgaria and reported revenues exceeding €1m YTD. Romania is now in focus as the company continues its market expansion efforts.

With its Malta base, Sportingwin provides a range of igaming options, including varied markets, odds, and payment solutions. The company, backed by a team with experience in the sector, is aiming to establish a more significant presence in Eastern European markets.

Mark Chakravarti, Investment Director at Sportingwin, said: “From day one, we have made it clear that we see huge potential in regulated markets across Eastern Europe and already our brand is well recognised by players across the region.

“With our Romania licence in hand, we can now get ready to make our move in the market where again we see massive potential for our brand and the sports betting experience that we offer to players. This is a stand-out experience that will allow us to quickly gain market share.

“Competition is stiff, especially with the likes of Unibet and Superbet already live and engaging players, but we believe our offering is a cut above the rest and that with the right strategy, we will be able to match the revenues we are achieving in Bulgaria within the first year.

“Partnerships with the likes of Sepsi FC will really help towards not just hitting that target but surpassing it.”
