Stake Launches iGaming Operations in Denmark

Stake has officially launched igaming operations in Denmark after securing a five-year licence covering online casino and sports betting, marking the operator’s entry into one of Europe’s regulated gambling markets. The licence enables Stake to offer its casino and sportsbook products to Danish players, as part of the company’s broader international expansion strategy.

The operator confirmed that from 1 March 2026, its Danish business will be headquartered at Parken Stadium, the national stadium of Denmark and home of FC Copenhagen. Stake Denmark will operate locally under the new licence, with a focus on providing access to the group’s established casino and sports betting portfolio within the country’s regulatory framework.

Founded in 2017, Stake has expanded across multiple regulated and licensed markets, offering online casino games and sports betting products supported by proprietary technology. The company stated that its Danish launch includes responsible gambling tools and player protection measures aligned with local regulatory requirements, as it begins operations in the Danish igaming market.

Peter Eugen Clausen, Managing Director at Stake Denmark, said: “Denmark has one of the most well-regulated and competitive gaming markets in Europe, and that’s exactly what makes it so exciting. With Stake’s arrival, Danish players can expect a fresh, world-class experience backed by global scale and strong local focus. We’re raising the bar in terms of product, transparency, and entertainment, and I believe increased competition from brands like Stake will only drive the market forward in a positive way.”

Brais Pena, Chief Strategy Officer at Easygo, the technology company behind Stake, said: “Denmark marks our entry into the Nordics and represents a clear win in one of Europe’s most mature and high-value markets. With each new market, our momentum continues to build as we deliver on our global expansion strategy.”
