Stake Stages Football Marketing Campaign at 10,000ft

Stake has launched a football-themed marketing campaign featuring what it describes as the first football match played on a floating pitch suspended beneath a hot air balloon at an altitude of 10,000 feet.

The campaign video features six content creators – Nathan Roque, Alessio Papia, Nicolo Contrada, Yasmin Xavier, Sara Vidal and Carol Chafauzer – taking part in a small-sided match before parachuting from the platform.

According to Stake, the synthetic grass pitch measured 12 metres by 20 metres, weighed approximately 3,000kg and was carried by a hot air balloon during a 60-minute flight.

The activation forms part of the operator’s broader “It’s All At Stake” marketing campaign, which was launched around this summer’s global football tournament and is being promoted across digital channels including YouTube, Instagram and X.

Stake said the campaign had generated more than 200 million views across earned media and social channels during the tournament’s opening week.

The company also stated that it continues to provide responsible gambling tools and resources designed to help customers make informed decisions about their gambling activity.

Jarrod Febbraio, Director at Stake, said: “This summer sees one of the biggest cultural moments on the planet and simply showing up is no longer enough. Our ambition is to create campaigns that genuinely capture people’s attention, spark conversation and give fans something they haven’t seen before.

“At Stake, we are always looking for ways to push creative boundaries and challenge expectations around sports marketing. Whether it’s our It’s All At Stake campaign or staging a football match thousands of feet in the air, the objective is the same – creating entertainment that resonates with audiences and delivers memorable experiences around the moments they care most about.”
