Stakelogic BV has agreed to pay £122,835 as part of a regulatory settlement after breaching responsible product design standards relating to the minimum spin speed for online slot games in Great Britain.
According to the regulator, the supplier operated slot games with spin intervals below the required minimum of 2.5 seconds between spins.
The issue came to light after Stakelogic notified the regulator that its Tiger Temple 88 game had been operating with a gap of 1.97 seconds between spins. A subsequent investigation and portfolio review identified a further 15 games that also failed to meet the minimum timing requirement.
The affected titles were found to have operated between 0.001 seconds and 0.675 seconds below the 2.5-second standard, with many recorded at 0.042 seconds or less below the required cycle time under the Remote Technical Standards.
Tiger Temple 88 was non-compliant between 28 May 2025 and 30 May 2025, while the remaining 15 games were found to have breached the standard during various periods between 31 October 2021 and 30 October 2025.
The investigation concluded that the timing errors resulted from Stakelogic relying on manual stopwatch measurements when testing compliance with the technical standards.
Minimum online slot spin speeds were introduced in Great Britain in 2021 as part of wider measures intended to reduce the intensity of gameplay and mitigate gambling-related harm. The £122,835 payment forms part of the settlement reached between Stakelogic and the regulator.
John Pierce, Director of Enforcement and Intelligence, said: “With all the technological resources available to an online gambling business, it is unacceptable that Stakelogic were relying on a manual stopwatch to measure the speed of their games.
“After reporting this error to the Commission, Stakelogic immediately self-suspended the use of the affected games until the error had been rectified. They have subsequently taken significant steps to assure the Commission that they now have robust policies and procedures in place to prevent future breaches from occurring.
“We would urge all operators to take careful note of this case and ensure they have effective testing practices in place to ensure they are meeting all the standards we require.”
More details of the failings can be found in the Stakelogic BV public statement from the Gambling Commission.
