Neosurf, a provider of cash-to-digital payment solutions, has launched its services in the Swiss igaming market, addressing a growing demand for alternative payment methods in a country where a significant proportion of online gambling transactions still rely on cash.
The launch follows regulatory approval and reflects Neosurf’s focus on supporting operators seeking compliant, player-friendly solutions in a highly regulated market. The offering is now available through local partners including Sweepay at SBB rail kiosks and the Swiss payment app TWINT, providing players with access to prepaid vouchers and digital wallet services.
According to market data, approximately 67% of igaming payments in Switzerland continue to be cash-based. Neosurf’s entry is intended to meet this demand by enabling players to convert cash into digital funds for online use while helping operators meet safer gambling and transaction oversight obligations.
The move marks a strategic expansion for Neosurf, which is planning further partnerships with regional operators and service providers in the months ahead. Future rollouts will also feature fully localised language support and enhanced user tools to align with operator requirements and market expectations.
“We believe the role of a payments company is about more than just providing simple deposits and withdrawals – it should also extend to building stronger user experiences and offering ongoing AML and compliance support to clients,” said Neosurf Global CEO, Andrea McGeachin.
“The exciting thing about entering the Swiss market is that Neosurf is addressing a demand from cash-based users that’s currently underserved. Given we know how to handle cash for online deposits in a safe, secure and traceable manner that ensures AML standards and prevents fraud, this is increasingly becoming a unique advantage for us in markets where cash features heavily.”
Said Rodolphe Texier, CEO, SweePay, “We are delighted to welcome Neosurf to our growing portfolio of digital products in Switzerland. At SweePay, our mission is to empower consumers and merchants by offering the widest range of products — including e-money, gift cards & invoice payments. By partnering with innovative companies like Neosurf, we continue to expand the range of convenient and responsible payment options available to Swiss users-both online and at the point of sale.”
