Kaizen Gaming has launched its Betano brand in Ghana, extending its igaming and sports betting operations into a 20th regulated market globally and marking the group’s first new market entry of 2026.
The Ghana launch was confirmed at a dedicated event in Accra attended by Kaizen Gaming executives, including George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development, Daniel Lamberti, Senior Business Development Advisor, and Joseph Owusu Badu, Country Manager for Ghana, alongside representatives of the national regulator, the Gaming Commission of Ghana. The operator has positioned the market entry within its wider strategy of expanding igaming and sports betting activities through locally regulated frameworks.
Ghana becomes the latest addition to Kaizen Gaming’s international portfolio, which spans Europe, the Americas and Africa. The company has continued to prioritise regulated market access as a central pillar of its igaming growth model, alongside investment in proprietary technology and compliance infrastructure.
The launch follows a period of international brand-building for Kaizen Gaming. In 2025, the company announced a global partnership with FIFA covering the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, and has maintained a series of football sponsorships across multiple jurisdictions. These include partnerships with FC Bayern München, Aston Villa FC, FC Porto, Sporting CP, SL Benfica, Club Atlético River Plate and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
For Betano, the Ghana rollout adds another African jurisdiction to its footprint, as international operators continue to target markets with growing smartphone penetration and online payment adoption. The operator will offer sports betting and igaming products under Ghana’s regulatory framework, aligning with national licensing and responsible gambling requirements.
Kaizen Gaming stated that its expansion in Ghana reflects its broader ambition to build a scalable and compliant igaming presence across multiple regions, with regulation, technology and local operations forming the foundation of its international strategy.
George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development, Betano commented: “Ghana is a market with strong long-term potential, an increasingly tech-oriented population, and a clear commitment to building a structured and transparent regulatory environment. Through our strong local partnerships, and with responsibility fully embedded across our technology, processes and operations, we are fully aligned with Ghana’s regulatory framework to support a safe, well-functioning and trusted experience for all players from day one.”
Mr. Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, Acting Commissioner of the Ghana Gaming Commission, said: “We welcome Betano’s entry into Ghana. Ensuring high standards are met by all operators is crucial in safeguarding player protection and maintaining market integrity. Kaizen Gaming and Betano show clear commitment to these principles, and we look forward to their continued cooperation and focus on upholding safe operations for all.”
