Caesars Adds Horse Racing to Sportsbook App in Two States

Caesars Entertainment has integrated pari-mutuel horse racing into its Caesars Sportsbook app for users in Kentucky and Colorado, ahead of the 2025 Kentucky Derby. The update enables users in both states to switch between sports betting and horse racing within a single platform, utilising a shared wallet experience powered by NYRA Bets.

The integration extends the functionality of the Caesars Sportsbook app by merging it with the Caesars Racebook interface, allowing users to access both wagering types under the same account while earning Tier and Reward Credits through the Caesars Rewards loyalty program. The move aligns with Caesars’ broader digital strategy to consolidate user engagement across igaming verticals.

Users in Kentucky and Colorado can now place pari-mutuel wagers, livestream races from more than 300 racetracks globally, and access real-time data and handicapping tools directly within the app. Tracks featured include Caesars’ own properties such as Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, and Scioto Downs, as well as partner venues including Keeneland, Del Mar, Monmouth Park, and Red Mile.

The update reflects Caesars’ continued investment in horse racing, both through its digital products and as operator of several U.S. racetracks. The company also serves as presenting sponsor of the National Horseplayers Championship, hosted annually at Horseshoe Las Vegas.

While the new functionality is currently live only in Kentucky and Colorado, the standalone Caesars Racebook app remains operational in 20 additional U.S. states, with availability on both iOS and Android platforms, as well as desktop.

“Integrating pari-mutuel horse racing into the Caesars Sportsbook app is a significant milestone for both our digital business and the sport of horse racing,” said Dan Shapiro, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Caesars Digital. “Our customers will be able to bet on horse racing, whether it’s the sport’s biggest events or daily races from tracks around the world. Now, our product seamlessly puts the action directly in front of an expanded audience and reinforces Caesars’ commitment to horse racing. We look forward to continuing our work with the New York Racing Association and NYRA Bets to expand the availability across more states as we gain regulatory approvals.”

“Horse racing plays an important role in the betting marketplace, and we appreciate Caesars’ longstanding commitment to elevating the sport and growing fan engagement,” said Tony Allevato, President of NYRA Bets. “Launching the shared wallet functionality allows Caesars Sportsbook to provide its large customer base with premier racing content through a comprehensive and easy-to-access wagering menu. We congratulate Caesars on their successful expansion.”
