iGaming operator DraftKings Inc. has received approval from the Arkansas Racing Commission to obtain licensure to launch its online sportsbook in the state on behalf of Southland Casino Hotel, subject to final regulatory clearances.
The approval follows a market access agreement between DraftKings and Southland Casino Hotel and will enable the company to introduce its mobile sportsbook product to eligible customers in Arkansas. With the addition of the state, DraftKings’ regulated sportsbook operations will extend to 30 US states, in addition to Washington, D.C., Ontario and Puerto Rico, bringing coverage to approximately 53% of the US population.
Once live, customers in Arkansas will have access to DraftKings’ online sportsbook platform, which includes features such as same-game parlays, in-game wagering and promotional odds boosts. The company also provides a suite of responsible gaming tools within its igaming ecosystem, including My Stat Sheet, which allows users to review their activity, and My Budget Builder, which supports limit-setting and reminders.
DraftKings operates across sports betting and igaming markets in North America, offering mobile and retail wagering products in regulated jurisdictions. Southland Casino Hotel, located in West Memphis, Arkansas, serves as one of the state’s licensed gaming operators and provides the required market access for the online sportsbook launch.
The Arkansas rollout will further expand DraftKings’ footprint in regulated US igaming and sports betting markets. A confirmed launch date has not yet been announced.
