Golden Nugget Expand Partnership with Paysafe into Michigan

Paysafe (PSFE), a specialized payments platform, today announced its expanded partnership with Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. (GNOG), a real-money online gaming brand. GNOG’s online casino for the regulated Michigan market has now plugged into Paysafe, also connecting the brand to the Guaranteed ACH technology of Global Payments Gaming Solutions, a division of Global Payments.

Following Michigan’s regulated online gaming market going live in January 2021, GNOG launched a sophisticated online and mobile real-money casino, and its payment offering is now powered by Paysafe. The brand’s integration with Paysafe’s payments platform and best-of-breed payment gateway enables Michigan players to quickly and securely make deposits by credit and debit card to enjoy a wide array of video slots, table games, video poker, and live dealer games.

The Paysafe platform will also seamlessly connect GNOG’s Michigan iGaming brand to Global Payments Gaming Solutions’ warranty ACH service, allowing players to electronically fund their wagers and get real-time access to their winnings through their registered bank account. The implementation allows Paysafe to tap the value of Global Payments Gaming Solutions to enable better funding options with some of the best terms and limits in the industry.

When GNOG debuted the Golden Nugget Sportsbook in New Jersey in February 2019, the operator’s partnership with Paysafe extended into the sports-betting space. Their entry into Michigan’s iGaming and sports betting markets is expected to be followed by other launches later in 2021, including West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Gregory Kirstein, Vice President of Business Development, iGaming at Paysafe, said: “We’re delighted to grow our partnership with Golden Nugget into Michigan and we’re pleased that they recognize our value in supporting customer acquisition, retention and overall revenue growth in the states where they are now operating. We look forward to continuing our dedicated support in Michigan in collaboration with Global Payments.”

Thomas Winter, President at Golden Nugget Online Gaming, commented: “Like every U.S. iGaming operator, getting payments right has always been an important focus for us. Our partnership with Paysafe in New Jersey has helped us streamline and improve payments for us and our customers, and so when we chose to enter the bigger market of Michigan, extending the partnership was an easy choice that made sound business sense.”
