Svenska Spel has unveiled the fourth edition of its annual sustainability report, Our Game Plan 2024. The report highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to responsible gambling, research into gambling-related issues, environmental sustainability, and promoting inclusivity in sports.

Since 2010, the operator has invested close to SEK 100 million in independent research aimed at understanding and mitigating gambling problems. For 2024, Svenska Spel has allocated SEK 5.9 million to support further research, distributed through its independent research council. This initiative contributes valuable insights to the broader industry on evidence-based strategies for preventing gambling harm.
In addition to responsible gambling efforts, Svenska Spel is prioritizing customer care by developing personalized gaming responsibility measures. The goal is to identify and assist at-risk players by delivering targeted interventions at the right time, promoting a safer gambling experience.

Efforts include minimizing energy consumption and exploring innovative solutions, such as electric flights between Visby and Stockholm, in collaboration with Region Gotland. This forms part of the company’s broader commitment to measuring and lowering its carbon emissions.
As Sweden’s largest sports sponsor, Svenska Spel is leveraging its influence to drive equality and inclusivity within the sports community. Through the Sports for All initiative, the operator promotes opportunities for everyone, regardless of background or gender, to participate in sports. Svenska Spel ensures equal distribution of sponsorship funds across the sports it supports, and has launched specific programs aimed at fostering leadership in vulnerable communities.
