Tonybet Awards First World Cup Card Collection Prize

Tonybet has awarded the first major prize in its World Cup Card Collection promotion for customers in Canada, with one player winning CAD$15,000 after collecting the campaign’s bronze card.

The promotion is available to Tonybet customers across Canada, excluding Ontario, and runs until 31 July. Participants can collect a total of 51 cards during the tournament, comprising 48 digital cards representing each World Cup nation and three prize cards: gold, silver and bronze.

The bronze card, which was available during the group stage of the tournament, has now been claimed. The silver card will be available throughout the knockout rounds up to the quarter-finals, while the gold card will be introduced during the semi-finals and final.

The promotion offers a total prize pool of CAD$150,000 in Canada, with the gold, silver and bronze cards carrying prizes of CAD$100,000, CAD$35,000 and CAD$15,000, respectively.

Tonybet said the same three prize cards are also in circulation across its other markets. In some jurisdictions, the bronze card has already been claimed, while in others, all three prize cards remain available.

Tonybet Head of Product Kiryl Liudvikevich said: “With Canada co-hosting the World Cup for the first time, the tournament has felt closer to home than ever before for Canadians, and it has already delivered a moment most supporters could only dream about with the national team advancing to the knockout stages.

“For one lucky Canada supporter, it has now produced another story that will be worth retelling long after the final whistle has gone – with our lucky winner among the first Tonybet customers to win one of the unique cards in our World Cup Card Collection, taking home a cool $15,000 for managing to get his hands on bronze. Who will end up with silver and gold?”
