Top 8 iGaming Events that may or may not happen, Guest Post by Arcadem

There’s an industry that has experienced growth like no other over the last 20 years.

Of course, we’re talking about the iGaming industry. Just in case you were wondering, iGaming is described as an entertaining activity that consists of odds, games of chance, betting, and any other game that include an element of chance.

It is not surprising that an industry grossing close to $30 billion per annum – and counting – would spike the interest of millions. Therefore, every year, dozens of exhibitions, expos, and summits are held in major cities across the globe to explore the latest trends, new technologies, regulations, and more.

Needless to say, these events are faithful – and very much anxiously – awaited by experts, businesses, and fans.

Year after year these events’ agendas get more exciting.

Thus, the 2020 iGaming Events calendar was no different and quite possibly even bigger, and better. But, alas, the Covid-19 pandemic altered the year and our ability to travel and gather normally.

These restrictions and the consequences of the crisis have naturally impacted all sorts of events. However, the centuries-old world of game and play will not be held back by such an obstacle.

While uncertainty abounds when it comes to physical set-ups, the emergence of virtual technology and remote participation may have saved a few events.

The internet revolutionized games of chance by making them widely available online to the recreational player, the seasonal sports fan, and the pundit. And now, once again, the internet saves the day by allowing remote and online events to take place.

So, what events are still on, what has been rescheduled or cancelled, and which have moved online?

Here is a concise list of iGaming events that are lined up for the rest of this year:

1. G2E LAS VEGAS 2020

Going virtual: October 27-28, 2020

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2020 scheduled for October 5-8 in Las Vegas has been cancelled due to the unknowns surrounding global travel and public gatherings restrictions. While in-person gatherings may not be possible in 2020, G2E is committed to providing opportunities for the global gaming industry through virtual events this October.

4. THE WORLD GAMING EXECUTIVE SUMMIT

Many more businesses, institutions, and the crème de la crème of the gaming world are expected to attend.

This is one that’s not to be missed.

6. G2E ASIA 2020: GLOBAL GAMING EXPO ASIA

The Venetian Macao, May 25-27, 2021

Manila Mariott Hotel, November 10-11, 2021

Prioritizing health and safety during this global crisis, the famous G2E Asia event has been postponed until 2021. The Asian market is certainly the biggest in the entertainment industry. That’s the reason why G2E is considered to be a key gaming and entertainment business hub. It is without a doubt the must-attend for any aficionado or investor in the field. 95% of Asian casino operators attend this expo in search of the very latest trends. And while delayed, the Godzilla of gaming events plans to have the upcoming events shine as bright as ever.
