William Hill Sponsors Lincoln Handicap, Marking the Start of the British Flat Season

William Hill has announced its sponsorship of the Lincoln Handicap, marking the commencement of the British Flat racing season at Doncaster. This sponsorship extends William Hill’s significant presence in horse racing, as the company is already engaged as the Official Betting Partner for the forthcoming Grand National Meeting. Additionally, William Hill sponsors several notable races, including the Cheltenham October Meeting, the Grade 1 Formby Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree on Boxing Day, and the Grade 1 Punchestown Champion Chase.

The sponsorship agreement encompasses the entire seven-race card at Doncaster, which features prestigious races such as the Spring Mile, Brocklesby Stakes, and Cammidge Trophy, now all under the William Hill banner.

Leading the odds are Simon & Ed Crisford’s Awaal and Karl Burke’s Liberty Lane, both priced at 4/1, with the previous year’s winner, Migration, at 12/1. William Hill will offer enhanced place terms for the Lincoln Handicap, available to participants on-course, in shops, and through the company’s app and website, ensuring a comprehensive betting experience for racing enthusiasts.

A spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The Lincoln is a race deep in history that always attracts a high-quality, competitive field, so we’re delighted to be sponsoring it again.

“The dust has only just settled on the Cheltenham Festival, but with the William Hill Lincoln kicking off the new British Flat season on Saturday, and the Grand National Festival, a meeting we are the Official Betting Partner of, only a few weeks away, it’s a very important and busy time for us.

“We’ll be celebrating our new sponsorship by offering enhanced place terms on the William Hill Lincoln, which hopefully offers customers plenty of value.”
