Yolo Group Partners with Solaride

Yolo Group has announced the extension of its partnership with Solaride, an Estonian educational initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable technology and technology education among young people. The renewed agreement extends the collaboration for an additional two years, culminating in Yolo Group’s support for Solaride’s participation in the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.

The partnership between Yolo Group, an IT and technology firm, and Solaride reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation and developing a sustainable future. This collaboration has seen the involvement of over 300 high school students, university students, mentors, trainers, and partners in Solaride’s project, which aims to popularize technology education.

Yolo Group had previously supported Solaride in the 2023 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, with team members traveling to Australia to support the team and Yolo Group’s ambassador Brett Lee meeting with Solaride participants at the event’s conclusion. Additionally, Yolo Group has facilitated recruitment workshops to assist Solaride in attracting Estonia’s top young talent.

Under the extended partnership, both organizations will deepen their collaboration through joint events, shared career opportunities, and mentorship programs, strengthening their efforts to advance sustainable technology education.

Asso Soosalu, CEO of Solaride’s third season, said: “Solaride is all about empowering young people who are not afraid to step outside of their comfort zone to make a difference, and we couldn’t have found a better partner to support this mission than Yolo Group. Their ‘fun, fast and fair’ approach has already been a huge help to us, and we’re looking forward to working even more closely with their team to bring our dream of another successful World Solar Challenge to life in 2025.”

Richard Barnwell, Head of Partnerships at Yolo Group, added: “The Solaride team is a huge inspiration to all of us at Yolo Group. We’re on the same page when it comes to putting innovation at the heart of everything. It’s been a real pleasure working alongside them and supporting their epic journey to Australia last October to compete in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. We simply couldn’t turn down the opportunity to do it all again in 2025!”
