Total Performance Data (TPD), the leading provider of live data for horse racing, has announced a new partnership with the Bahrain Turf Club. The multi-year agreement will see TPD’s services integrated into the club’s operations starting with the new racing season in Bahrain, beginning November 2024.
This collaboration further strengthens TPD’s presence in the rapidly expanding Middle Eastern horse racing market, where it already provides services to racecourses in Saudi Arabia and Meydan. Through this partnership, TPD will offer live and post-race timing statistics for every horse, along with live running order graphics displayed on big screens at the racecourse, enhancing the experience for racegoers.
Bahrain Turf Club and TPD are also introducing innovative, data-driven marketing content aimed at engaging both new and seasoned fans, on-site and via social media. Leveraging TPD’s cutting-edge performance metrics, the content will bring greater excitement and insight throughout Bahrain’s racing season.
The new season starts on November 1 and runs weekly through April, with key events including the $1,000,000 Bahrain International Trophy (Group 2) on November 15, The Crown Prince’s Cup (Listed) in January, and The King’s Cup (Listed) in March. The Bahrain Turf Series will also return for its fourth year, now featuring two additional $100,000 handicaps, bringing the total prize pool to $1,000,000.
Will Duff Gordon, CEO of TPD, said: “We are delighted to extend our footprint in the middle east by adding the Bahrain Turf Club to our client base. We’d like to thank the Bahrain Turf Club and the team there for choosing us and look forward to drawing even more attention to the quality racing taking place at this ambitious racecourse.”
Yusuf Buheji, CEO for the Bahrain Turf Club, commented: “This exciting collaboration between the Bahrain Turf Club and TPD marks a significant step in our ambition to find new ways to engage our stakeholders and attract new racing fans. By leveraging TPD’s innovative technology, we aim to enhance the race day experience for our attendees and further elevate the profile of Bahraini horseracing on the international stage.”
