BetMGM Debuts Mobile Sports Betting Services in Kentucky

BetMGM, an established sports betting and iGaming operator, has announced the launch of its mobile sports betting app in Kentucky. This rollout introduces a comprehensive range of betting options for customers in the region, along with the prospect of availing experiences at MGM Resorts’ locations across the country.

The BetMGM app, designed for ease of use, equips sports enthusiasts in Kentucky with an array of betting possibilities, encompassing pre-game, in-play, futures, and parlay bets. Advancements in the app’s technology now accommodate same-game parlays and free-to-play contests on a weekly basis. For users traveling among states where online sports betting is legalized—including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee—the app promises a smooth and consistent experience. Another key feature is the integration with MGM Rewards, enabling BetMGM users to exchange their gameplay for unique experiences at renowned MGM Resorts destinations.

In an expansion of their physical presence, BetMGM intends to inaugurate a 5,200-square-foot retail sportsbook this autumn in collaboration with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky at Sandy’s Racing & Gaming in Ashland—a $75M entertainment and gaming establishment. Adjacent to Sandy’s, there are plans for Kentucky’s inaugural quarter horse racetrack and equestrian center on a 182-acre expanse, with races set to commence in 2025.

As BetMGM ventures into new markets, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to promote responsible sports betting. Emphasizing this, BetMGM integrates the GameSense program—a leading initiative licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation—into its platforms. This offers users access to essential responsible gambling resources, aligning with BetMGM’s ethos of ensuring a safe and enjoyable digital sports betting environment for its clientele.

“Kentucky is home to some of the country’s most passionate fans,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt. “We’re confident that our sports betting platform will elevate their gameday experience.”

Prentice Salter, CEO of Revolutionary Racing, said, “We know how excited Kentucky sports fans are to finally be able to place wagers with BetMGM. And we know they will be even more excited when Sandy’s opens this fall and they can bet while watching games with their friends in our BetMGM Race and Sportsbook.”

Greenblatt added, “Revolutionary Racing is the ideal partner to help us deliver a dynamic retail experience, one that will be a go-to destination for sports and entertainment in Kentucky.”
