Caesars Sportsbook Expands Mobile Betting in Washington, D.C.

Caesars Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: CZR) (“Caesars”) has announced the expansion of its flagship mobile sports wagering platform, Caesars Sportsbook, across Washington, D.C. Just over three years after launching the first sportsbook in a U.S. professional sports venue at Capital One Arena, sports fans 21 and older can now access the Caesars Sportsbook app on iOS and Android, or via desktop, throughout the district, with the exception of federal lands and areas surrounding other professional sports venues.

Since 2021, Caesars Sportsbook has been offering in-person sports betting at Capital One Arena through a partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE). This expansion builds on the August 2022 platform upgrade, which brought the most advanced version of Caesars Sportsbook’s wagering platform to users in and around Capital One Arena. Caesars Sportsbook remains the official sports betting partner of the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics.

Starting today, eligible sports fans in Washington, D.C. can download the Caesars Sportsbook app, register online, and deposit funds to take advantage of a special sign-up offer for first-time users.

Caesars Sportsbook provides thousands of game markets, prop bets, same-game parlays, and in-game live betting for major sports events. The app also features live streaming of marquee events, including NFL games, quick payouts, and numerous deposit options, enhancing the sports wagering experience synonymous with Caesars.

Every wager placed through Caesars Sportsbook or the app earns Tier Credits and Reward Credits in Caesars Rewards, the industry-leading loyalty program. These credits can be redeemed for various benefits, including discounted getaways at Caesars destinations, tickets to Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics games, VIP hospitality at Capital One Arena, and other exclusive experiences.

Caesars Entertainment continues to prioritize Responsible Gaming education as it expands Caesars Sportsbook into more jurisdictions. In 2023, the company implemented a refreshed 21+ policy, ensuring that all Caesars Rewards accounts are available only to individuals 21 and older. This policy applies to all sports wagering operations by Caesars Sportsbook in Washington, D.C., including the mobile app and in-person betting at Capital One Arena.

“D.C. sports fans have always displayed an incredible passion for their teams,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital. “Expanding access to our mobile sports betting app across the district will only enhance their fan experience, and we look forward to deepening the connection we’ve established with them since our historic opening in 2021. We’d like to thank Mayor Bowser, Chairman Mendelson, Councilmember McDuffie and the D.C. Council for their leadership on sports betting as well as the Office of Lottery and Gaming.”
