Checkd Media Expands Content Output with Sky Sports Fantasy Football Partnership

Checkd Group, a rapidly growing iGaming company, has announced an exciting collaboration with Sky Sports Fantasy Football for the new season launch of their beloved podcast series, I Had Trials Once.

Following the tremendous success of the previous series, which garnered over 1 million downloads, the popular podcast has returned with its own YouTube channel. The show is hosted by regular presenters Jordan Hulme, a non-league Radcliffe striker, and Gareth Seddon, a former Salford star turned football agent.

The latest episode, featuring special guest Paddy Kenny, the former Leeds and Sheffield United goalkeeper, premiered last weekend and generated significant buzz. The episode received 9,000 audio downloads and garnered over 14,000 YouTube views, propelling I Had Trials Once to number 14 in the Sports podcast charts. The episode also gained coverage in prominent publications like SPORTbible and The Sportsman. Clips shared on Checkd’s social channels reached over 4 million impressions within a week.

The relaunch of I Had Trials Once, spanning six weeks with new episodes, is part of Checkd Media’s ongoing strategy to engage its extensive sports fan communities through podcast and video partnerships with renowned industry brands.

Checkd Media, a division of Checkd Group, is producing I Had Trials Once while promoting Sky Sports Fantasy Football. Checkd Dev, the tech division of Checkd Group, has powered Sky Sports’ popular fantasy game for the past two seasons and has also developed a special tournament for the upcoming Qatar World Cup.

The partnership between Checkd Media and Sky Sports Fantasy Football is set to provide sports enthusiasts with captivating and informative content, further enhancing the engagement and enjoyment of the fantasy football experience.

Will Tyrrell, UK Media Director at Checkd Media, said: “After a sizeable break without doing the podcast, we’ve had plenty of requests from listeners for the return of I Had Trials Once. It’s great to bring it back in a brand new studio, whilst keeping the same entertainment levels.

“It’s a unique podcast with a highly-engaged and loyal audience. We’re sure Jordan and Gareth will once again bring out the best offbeat stories from their guests, while also helping to promote the new Sky Sports Fantasy Football game which has been such a success story for our Checkd Dev business since it rebuilt the platform two seasons ago.”
