DraftKings to Debut Online Sportsbook in Vermont on January 11

DraftKings Inc. (Nasdaq: DKNG), a leading player in the igaming industry, has announced its plan to launch its online sportsbook in Vermont on January 11, 2024. This move will mark Vermont as the 26th U.S. state, along with Ontario, Canada, where the DraftKings Sportsbook is operational. The Boston-based igaming operator will thus extend its online sportsbook presence to five of the six New England states.

Starting January 11, 2024, the DraftKings Sportsbook app, known for its user-friendly interface and award-winning customer experience, will offer eligible sports enthusiasts in Vermont the opportunity to bet on a variety of professional sports and events. This includes major sporting events like the Super Bowl. The app will feature a range of betting options, including same-game and cross-sport parlays, in-game betting, and special odds boosts. Further details on promotions can be found on the DraftKings Sportsbook promotions page.

Demonstrating its commitment to community engagement, DraftKings has pledged $25,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation. This contribution will support a significant reforestation project in Vermont during the upcoming spring. The initiative aims to plant 3,500 trees as part of the Vermont Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program, creating “riparian buffers” along streams and rivers to improve water quality flowing into Lake Champlain.

As a proactive member of the American Gaming Association (“AGA”), DraftKings actively supports the AGA’s Have A Game Plan.® Bet Responsibly™ campaign. This initiative focuses on educating customers about responsible gaming practices, emphasizing the importance of setting a budget and engaging only with legal, regulated operators. DraftKings’ commitment to responsible igaming extends to its DraftKings S.E.R.V.E.S. program, which fosters inclusive and responsible opportunities for innovation and creativity within the igaming community.

“As a Boston-based company, we are thrilled for the opportunity to further expand in the New England region and provide Vermont with access to safe and legal sports betting,” said Matt Kalish, President, DraftKings North America. “This is an exciting time of year with the NFL Playoffs about to kick off, and Vermonters will now have the opportunity to engage with their favorite sports on our industry-leading DraftKings Sportsbook app.”
