FanDuel is reinforcing its commitment to responsible gaming during Problem Gambling Awareness Month with the launch of new initiatives aimed at expanding education and support resources. The company has introduced The Comeback with Craig Carton, a new program on FanDuel TV focused on problem gambling recovery, and has enhanced its Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting platform. Additionally, FanDuel has strengthened its partnerships with non-profit organizations to amplify awareness and support problem gambling prevention efforts.
The Comeback with Craig Carton features in-depth conversations with individuals who have experienced gambling addiction, highlighting their recovery journeys and breaking down the stigma surrounding gambling disorder. The first episode, now streaming on YouTube and FanDuel TV+, features former NBA player Randy Livingston and his wife, sports agent Anita Smith, who discuss the challenges of problem gambling and the impact on their family.
FanDuel has also expanded its Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting initiative, adding new resources for college students, parents, and university staff. These resources, developed in collaboration with organizations such as ROGA, EPIC Global Solutions, Kindbridge Behavioral Health, and the Responsible Gambling Council, provide guidance on recognizing gambling risks, warning signs, and available support services. A targeted advertising campaign is further promoting responsible gambling education across radio, digital, and social media platforms.
To support Gambling Disorder Screening Day, FanDuel partnered with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to provide customers access to a free, confidential gambling disorder screener and telehealth counseling services. Awareness of the initiative was further amplified through FanDuel’s social media channels.
FanDuel has also pledged $150,000 to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) to support the Agility Grants program, which funds problem gambling prevention efforts in underserved areas. An additional $150,000 donation to the International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) will contribute to the creation of a Center of Excellence focused on research into responsible gambling behaviors, player protection strategies, and engagement initiatives.
These efforts underscore FanDuel’s ongoing commitment to promoting responsible gaming and supporting individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
“FanDuel remains steadfast in its commitment to leading the industry in responsible gaming, and we are proud to introduce industry-first content and programs designed to destigmatize problem gambling and offer education on responsible play,” said Cory Fox, FanDuel Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Sustainability. “Our new FanDuel TV show with Craig Carton, expanded Trusted Voices program and investments in education and advocacy are part of our year-round commitment to responsible gaming, and we look forward to continuing to offer innovative products and programs to our customers.”
“We are grateful to FanDuel for their generous support of the Agility Grants program,” said NCPG board president Susan Sheridan Tucker. “As the first national grant initiative dedicated to problem gambling prevention, this funding expands our ability to support community-based programs, strengthening the reach and impact of problem gambling prevention efforts nationwide.”
“We are proud to partner with FanDuel as we work together to advance critical research that will shape the future of responsible gambling strategies,” said Arthur Paikowsky, President of ICRG. “Support from FanDuel is helping fund a Center of Excellence focused on responsible gaming behaviors, and we look forward to generating evidence-based insights that make a positive impact on communities.”
