LeoVegas Group has expanded its iGaming offering in Sweden after its GoGoCasino brand was granted a betting licence by the Swedish Gambling Authority, enabling the launch of a new sportsbook vertical in the market.
The iGaming operator has introduced sports betting on GoGoCasino through its proprietary Tiger sportsbook platform, marking the product’s entry into Sweden as part of a wider international rollout strategy.
Functionality
The addition of sportsbook functionality follows GoGoCasino’s existing iGaming licence in the jurisdiction and extends its product mix beyond casino and live casino.
Under the new licence, GoGoCasino will offer sports betting features including bet builder functionality, daily odds enhancements and partial cash-out options, alongside live betting capabilities.
The launch represents an expansion of LeoVegas Group’s iGaming operations in a regulated European market, where the operator has been active since the brand’s introduction in 2019.
Infrastructure
Tiger sportsbook forms part of LeoVegas Group’s broader iGaming infrastructure following its acquisition from Tipico Group in 2024 by parent company MGM Resorts International.
Since the acquisition, the iGaming operator has deployed the platform across multiple regulated markets, including Denmark and the Netherlands, and in Brazil via BetMGM, its joint venture with Grupo Globo.
The rollout in Sweden adds to LeoVegas Group’s ongoing strategy of integrating proprietary technology across its iGaming brands, with GoGoCasino now operating both casino and sportsbook verticals under a unified platform in the market.
Excitement
Said Adrian Vella, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LeoVegas Group: “Launching our proprietary sportsbook, Tiger, on our home turf in Sweden is a massive milestone for the entire Group, and I couldn’t be more excited.
“Our teams across the globe have worked tirelessly to continue our international rollout, and this new addition to GoGoCasino will add layers of excitement for players who enjoy the thrills of both casino and betting.”
