PENN Entertainment Secures ESPN BET Access in North Carolina with Quail Hollow Club Partnership

PENN Entertainment, Inc. has announced a significant partnership through its subsidiary, PENN Sports Interactive, LLC, with Quail Hollow Club and the Wells Fargo Championship. This strategic move comes in anticipation of the commencement of regulated online sports wagering in North Carolina. The partnership with Quail Hollow Club provides PENN with market access for its ESPN BET online sports wagering platform in the state, pending necessary regulatory approvals.

Furthermore, this collaboration designates ESPN BET as the exclusive official betting operator for the Wells Fargo Championship, a distinguished PGA TOUR event hosted at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. As the tournament’s official betting operator, ESPN BET will benefit from a variety of marketing opportunities, including direct fan engagement and activation on-site during the championship event.

Launched on November 14 across 17 states, ESPN BET represents a collaborative effort between PENN Entertainment and ESPN, merging ESPN’s renowned brand presence and extensive multiplatform reach with PENN Entertainment’s specialized in-house technology and deep expertise in sportsbook operations.

“We are thrilled to partner with Quail Hollow Club and the Wells Fargo Championship as we prepare to bring our new online sports betting brand, ESPN BET, to North Carolina,” said Benjie Levy, Head of Penn Interactive. “Along with market access, we’re excited to sponsor the popular Wells Fargo Championship and look forward to working together with our new partners to create unique fan activations.”

“We welcome the upcoming launch of regulated online sports wagering in North Carolina and are extremely pleased to partner with a leading gaming and entertainment operator in PENN Entertainment,” said Johnny Harris, President, Quail Hollow Club. “PENN’s compelling online sports betting brand ESPN BET, cutting-edge technology and extensive operational expertise make them an ideal long-term partner for this industry.”
