Racecourse Media Group has announced Teenage Cancer Trust as its first official annual charity partner, with a programme of fundraising and awareness activities planned throughout 2026. The initiative will involve engagement with employees, industry partners and audiences connected to the company’s media and broadcasting operations within horse racing.
Racecourse Media Group distributes media rights and broadcast content for a network of UK racecourses, delivering racing coverage and related content to television channels, digital platforms and partners connected to the wider betting and igaming sector. Through the new partnership, the organisation will support Teenage Cancer Trust, a UK charity focused on providing specialist care and support for young people diagnosed with cancer.
According to Racecourse Media Group, the partnership will include a series of activities and events across the year aimed at raising funds and increasing awareness of the charity’s work. These initiatives are expected to involve staff participation as well as engagement with customers, industry stakeholders and partners linked to racing and igaming audiences.
Teenage Cancer Trust funds specialist nurses and dedicated hospital units designed to support young people undergoing cancer treatment. The charity’s programmes aim to provide medical care alongside emotional and psychological support during treatment and recovery.
Racecourse Media Group said the partnership was selected following internal consultation and will serve as the organisation’s first annual charity collaboration. The funds raised during the programme will contribute to the charity’s ongoing work supporting young people across the United Kingdom.
Companies operating within the racing, betting and igaming sectors frequently participate in charitable partnerships and community initiatives alongside their commercial activities. Through its collaboration with Teenage Cancer Trust, Racecourse Media Group plans to use its industry network and events throughout the year to generate funding and raise awareness of the charity’s services among audiences connected to the racing and igaming ecosystem.
Clive Cottrell, Director of Marketing at RMG, said: “Teenage Cancer Trust does extraordinary work supporting young people and their families during some of the most challenging times they will ever face, and we are incredibly proud to be partnering with them as our first annual charity partner.
“This partnership is deeply meaningful to me personally and I have seen first-hand the difference that specialist care, dedicated staff and the right support can make. As a business, we are committed to using our platform and our collective energy to raise vital funds and awareness over the coming year, and to help make a real and lasting difference.”
Judith Anderson, Senior Relationship Manager East Anglia & London, at Teenage Cancer Trust, added: “We are delighted to partner with Racecourse Media Group as its first charity partner. Support from organisations such as RMG enables us to continue our mission of raising the standard of care for young people facing cancer.
“We are grateful for RMG’s commitment and look forward to working together over the next year to make a meaningful difference to the lives of the young people and families affected.”
