SIS to Sponsor Confraternity Cup at Hipódromo Presidente Remón

SIS (Sports Information Services), renowned for providing 24/7 live betting services, has announced its sponsorship of the $100,000 Copa Confraternidad del Caribe. This prestigious event is part of the Clásico Internacional del Caribe, the annual thoroughbred championship of the Caribbean, taking place on December 10th at Hipódromo Presidente Remón in Panama City, Panama.

The Clásico Internacional del Caribe is a significant event in the horse racing calendar, attracting top horses from across the Caribbean including Panama, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic. These nations will compete for over $800,000 in prize money across six Grade 1 races.

A highlight of the day, the Grade 1 Copa Confraternidad del Caribe, features horses aged three and over competing in a 1¼ mile dirt track race. This race stands as a key component of the Caribbean series, second only in importance to the Clásico del Caribe (Caribbean Derby), a race steeped in regional pride and prestige. Panama has historically been the most successful nation in this event, with 15 wins, closely followed by Venezuela and Mexico.

The event rotates between member nations, with Panama hosting for the first time since 2015. Hipódromo Presidente Remón, established in 1956, is a venue of historical significance and is the location of the renowned Laffit Pincay Jr. Technical Jockey Training Academy.

The event will feature elite jockeys such as Irad Ortiz, Luis Sáez, Ricardo Santana, Paco Lopez, and Javier Castellano, who collectively have earned over $100 million in prize money this year. The legendary jockey Laffit Pincay Jr. will also attend as an honorary guest.
