Star Sports has confirmed that Star Pelaw—formerly known as Pelaw Grange Greyhound Stadium, located in Chester-Le-Street, County Durham—will collaborate with SIS for its future media broadcasts. This partnership marks a shift from the stadium’s previous agreement with ARC.
As part of this transition, Star Pelaw will work with SIS to broadcast two full racecards each week, enhancing the visibility of the venue’s greyhound racing events. The Boxing Day meeting at Star Pelaw on December 26th will also be televised as part of this new media agreement.
This move follows the recent acquisition of Pelaw Grange by Star Sports and its rebranding to Star Pelaw.
Ben Keith, owner of Star Sports, said: “We have had some good feedback and interest from the takeover announcement earlier this week and are enjoying every step of the way building up to the first meeting as Star Pelaw. The excitement is already building and we look forward to confirming our opening fixture soon.
“For now, I must thank the team at SIS, who we are most grateful to and look forward to working with.”
Paul Witten, Managing Director EMEA at SIS, said: “We are fully committed to delivering a sustainable and successful greyhound racing service that serves the needs of all the sport’s stakeholders. This agreement with Star Sports significantly enhances our offering with additional high-quality content and we look forward to working together to make Star Pelaw a major success.”
